2 Designers Boasted They Dressed Virat, But Who Actually Did?

The Indian cricket team captain donned a classic navy blue bandhgala teamed up with white Jodhpur breeches at his star-studded reception in Mumbai. His look was complete with a pink pocket square and leather, brown shoes.

Now, so far, Virat has chosen the traditionally stylish Sabyasachi for all his wedding ceremonies with Anushka Sharma – from Tuscany to New Delhi. And so, probably, that led to this Instagram post from the posh fashion designer.

Err... But that was not it!

Around the same time, the word was out that Virat was styled by internationally trained fashion designer – Raghavendra Rathore. Just look at those breeches – one of the trademarks of the Rathore label.

Sabyasachi (or the team behind his Instagram post) was quick to realise the error. The post was retracted. When The Quint contacted Sabyasachi’s team on whether he styled the cricketer yet again, the answer was no.

His lady luck, Anushka Sharma, however, wore a golden lehenga from Sabyasachi!
